Before you scan document files, make sure the scanner glass or feeder is clean and the paper is positioned correctly. Check that the scanner is connected to your computer or mobile device and that the required scanning software is installed. Choose an appropriate resolution based on your purpose; standard documents usually do not require extremely high resolution. Also select the correct file format, such as PDF for multipage documents or JPEG for individual images. Previewing the scan can help catch alignment or quality issues.
